A powerful highlight of the journey includes a visit to the DMZ the border between North and South Korea offering a rare and thought-provoking glimpse into one of the most complex regions in the world.

From there, we travel south across the country to Busan, South Korea’s stunning coastal gem. Here, you’ll unwind along beautiful beaches, indulge in authentic Korean BBQ alongside locals, and explore the city’s highlights through curated private experiences designed to bring the destination to life.

Sept 17th - Day 1: Traveling to Seoul
Board your international flight from TVC. Please ensure your flight arrives in Seoul on September 18th
Sept 18th – Day 2: Arrive to Seoul
Arrive late afternoon into Seoul if taking a nonstop flight from the Midwest. Once clearing customs and immigration proceed to the Arrivals Hall to meet your private driver who will escort you to the vehicle for your transfer to the hotel the L7 Myeongdong Hotel in Central Seoul’s Myeongdong district. Evening is free to explore the area around the hotel.

Sept 19th – Day 3: Full Day Exploring Seoul Private Tour
Get familiar with Seoul and with Korea’s history, culture, and traditions on an introductory tour of the city that's great for first-time visitors. Check out major landmarks, including Jogyesa Temple and Gyeongbokgung Palace, National Folk Museum, N Seoul Tower, and Namsangol Hanok Village. Watch the changing of the guards during a stop at Gwanghwamun Gate and have the option to stop enroute for lunch. Return to the hotel during the late afternoon for some relaxation.

Join a local who will take us to some of Central Seoul’s best bars. Enjoy some typical Korean libations with our small group nightlife tour!
Sept 20th – Day 4: Seoul Street Food and Market Tour 12pm
Enjoy a free morning to catch up on some sleep or explore Central Seoul independently this morning. At 12pm we’ll join our small group food tour. Seoul is famous for its food, but it can be overwhelming to navigate between all the different markets and food options. Get an authentic taste of Korean food on a tour that takes you past the tourist traps to more local spots. Enjoy a more personalized experience with a smaller group size.

If you didn’t get enough of the markets this afternoon visit them after dark along with some of the most beautiful attractions in Seoul. Discover Seoul’s flavors, history, and culture by moonlight on a nighttime tour. This evening excursion enables you to see top attractions, like Changgyeonggung Palace and Jogyesa Temple, from an illuminated vantage point without the daytime tourist crowds. Be sure to arrive hungry, as the itinerary includes Gwangjang Market, where you’ll devour numerous Korean culinary delicacies. Along the way, your guide provides immersive and interactive commentary.
Sept 21st – Day 5: Visiting the DMZ Private Tour
Begin your journey with insightful visits to the Bridge of Freedom and Mangbaedan Altar, setting the stage for the Korean War's narrative. Venture into the Third Tunnel, an imposing invasion tool, before continuing to Dora Observatory, which offers a panoramic view of North Korea.
Then, choose to visit one of two bridges: take a short hike to the Gamaksan Chulleong Suspension Bridge, a 500-foot (150-meter)-long structure with historical significance, or the Lake Majang Bridge, where allied forces fought battles during the Korean War. Your tour ends with a return to Seoul.
Our final evening is free in Seoul to enjoy a great dinner at a local restaurant of your choosing
Sept 22nd – Day 6: Travel from Seoul to Busan
Mid-morning departure via rail. Make our way to Seoul Station to catch our Korail bullet train to Busan. This trip takes about 3 hours and covers nearly the entire length of South Korea. Train travel is included in the first-class cabin providing a comfortable environment as we watch the Korean countryside pass us by. Upon arrival we will make our way to our hotel for the next 3 days, Gand Josun Busan. Afternoon is free to enjoy the hotel, beaches and central Busan.
Korean BBQ Experience: 6pm we’ll meet our local contact who will take us out on the town for a traditional Korean BBQ experience. Food is included in the tour cost and beverages will be available at individual’s expense.

Sept 23rd – Day 7: Full Day Busan Highlights Private Tour
Cover Busan’s top sights during a single day during this tailored private tour. Travel comfortably between locations in your own chauffeured, climate-controlled vehicle, with door-to-door pickup from the hotel included. Follow a bespoke itinerary tailored to your preferences, with optional visits to Gamcheon Culture Village, Seokbulsa or Beomeosa temples local markets, or the Songdo cable car.

Sept 24th – Day 8: Gyeongju UNESCO Site Private Tour
Discover the rich history of Gyeongju at your own pace on a private full-day tour of its UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Sept 25th – Day 9: Travel back to Seoul
Leisurely morning to enjoy the sunrise over the straight of Korea this morning. Free time to explore before we head to the train station for our early afternoon train back to Seoul. We’ll be staying in Incheon this evening to make for an easy departure tomorrow morning.

Sept 26th – Day 10: Travel Home
Flight departures out of Seoul typically in the morning, crossing the international dateline and “getting our lost day back”. Arrive home this evening after the longest September 26th you’ve experienced!
